Macro-pictures of my paintings
Although a painting has generally only two dimensions, it is a special challenge for me to give an almost three-dimensional impression through special techniques and used materials.
Due to its enormous versatility, acrylic paint is my preferred kind of color material. This is often used with a wide variety of excipients, e.g. structure paste, pigments, gold leaf or gel to create interesting surfaces. Together with harmonious to surprising color combinations, new and unusual effects are created. To emphasize contrasts, I let graphical elements often flow into the interplay with color and structures.
In order to be free from pre-defined shapes and colors, I paint almost exclusively abstractly in mostly bright colors. This results in images of a powerful and dynamic atmosphere.
